Jon N. Cinelli was born and raised on Grand Island. He is the youngest of four sons raised by Susie and the late Joseph C. Cinelli. Joseph Cinelli was employed by Praxair from 1952-1997. Jon is a member of the Grand Island Rod and Gun club, a maniacal Sabres fan and an obsessive golfer who can be found on any open golf course if it’s above 30 degrees.

Jon joined the Grand Island Fire Company at age 18 and served for 11 years where he achieved the rank of EMS Captain. He worked full time for Twin City Ambulance Company for over ten years and has been employed by the Town of Tonawanda Police Department as a Paramedic for nearly 12 years. Jon continues to work part-time for Twin City Ambulance Corporation in a variety of jurisdictions. Jon’s work is not simply a job, but a vocation. Those of us who work with Jon and the thousands of people he has helped recognize that not only does he perform with the highest level of skill and professionalism, but with kindness and compassion towards people on what is generally their worst day.

Jon and his wife Anne live in the Town of Tonawanda and they have two beautiful children, 6yr. old Jon-Jon and a daughter Claire, who is 4. Anne is an accomplished horse trainer and riding instructor and has been for over 20 years. She and her mother operate Northridge Farm in Cambria, N.Y. Anne was raised in Clarence and moved with her Mother, sister’s and step-father, Robert F. Glover, Sr., to the farm as a young girl. She is the oldest of 4 girls and is the daughter of Patricia A. Glover and the late Kenneth F. Fronczek.

In December of 2007 young Jon-Jon was having vision problems. To everyones shock he was diagnosed with an Intrinsic Pontillar Glioma. This is a brain tumor that is located inside the brainstem. Jon-Jon goes to Roswell Park Hospital daily for treatments. At the conclusion of these treatments Jon and Anne plan on participating in alternative therapies to eradicate the tumor.

Jon Cinelli has responded to various communities needs and emergencies within moments for 20+ years. This is our opportunity to say thank-you.

It is now our turn to support Jon Jon and Jon, Anne, and sister Claire in their time of need. Jon Jon's condition is and will require many doctor's appointment and various medical treatments. As you can image, expenses are on the rise. Please come show your love and support for the Cinelli Family on March 29th!
