Jon Jon Cinelli is the six year old son of Jon and Anne Cinelli of the Town of Tonawanda, a suburb of Buffalo, New York. Jon Jon, seen here with his sister Claire, was diagnosed with Intrinsic Pontillar Glioma. It is a tumor located inside Jon Jon's brainstem. Jon Jon lost his battle with cancer On November 16, 2008 at the age of seven. This web site exists to help educate others about childhood cancer and to raise awareness of these diseases. RECENT NEWS AND UPDATES

Channel 2 News came to our farm to interview our family and Jen Freberg a young girl who I had know as a child from horse shows and had not seen in years. Jen reacquainted herself and my family through Facebook and read about Jon Jon.  She decided to run her first ever marathon in memory of Jon and created a Facebook page for receiving donation to The Cure Starts Now.  She had never even met Jon.  Her race is The Niagara Falls International Marathon a qualifier for the Boston marathon, it starts at the Albright Knox Art Gallery and they run over the Peace Bridge into Canada. The Silver Spur Riding Club of WNY donated a perpetual memorial trophy in memory of Jon Jon to the high point walk trot rider of their Labor Day weekend show in Little Valley. The internationally published magazine, Arabian Horse Times, is doing a major story with an emphasis on the need for funding and awareness for childhood cancer especially brain tumors.

Anne Cinelli, mother of Jon Jon, recently became the New York Chapter Coordinator for The Cure Starts Now. Be sure to check back often for some upcoming awareness and fund raising events. - September, 2009

This September 2009, Jon Jon's Journey donated a bench and a tree in Jon's memory at Alexander Hamilton Elementary School where Jon was a student. The tree and bench are located at the playground right where Jon Jon would want them to be. A plaque has been ordered and will be placed very soon. - September 2009
